Biblish : Sin

One of the most common words that are biblish is Sin. For such a small word, a lot is packed into the meaning of sin. The Bible describes sin as the breaking, or transgression, of God's law (1 John 3:4). It is also defined as disobedience or rebellion against God (Deuteronomy 9:7), as well as independence from God. The original translation means "to miss the mark" of being Holy like God.

So if holy means to be normal elements set aside for a special purpose.

Then sin is anything that destroys those holy things.

Like the above crown, we can see glimpses of God’s holiness within humanity, but it isn’t perfect. We must realize, like rust is destroying this crown, sin is destroying our holiness. When Paul says in Phil. 2:12, to workout our salvation we are to strive to keep ourselves holy. If you don’t fight the sin, then it will decay and rouign the image of God.

For jewelry we use this stuff.

For holiness we are to use this !
